Rococo Style Demi Lune in Almendra

It was George Hepplewhite who wrote, in 1788, that 'furniture should unite elegance and utility and blend the useful with the agreeable'.
And this highly pleasing Rococo Style, demi lune table clearly echos that sentiment.

Finished our timeless in-house 'Almendra' before being artisan aged. Lending the painted piece with a timeless ‘timeworn’ Gustavian Style vibe, presented here a hugely ornate, mid-century, Rococo Style Demi Lune Console.
A beautiful, fluid design, exquisitely crafted from mahogany, with a shell and foliate carved apron, to acanthus carved sides.
Supported by three, exquisite scrolled cabriole legs having shell and rocaille carving, this handsome 'statement piece' would make a lovely addition to a hallway or foyer.

Colourwise, the piece finished in light, Alemandra, before being exquisitely 'aged', using our own, unique, Belle Biche, artisan ageing techniques.
Displaying plenty of appealing, 'weathered depth' and 'texture' it will appeal to those of you who (if like me), appreciate and embrace the look of authentic 'imperfection' in their 'painted' pieces of furniture!
