It was George Hepplewhite who wrote, in 1788, that 'furniture should unite elegance and utility and blend the useful with the agreeable' and this exquisite and highly pleasing, Mid-Century, mahogany dresser sideboard clearly echoes that sentiment.
Being a generously proportioned, mid-century, three drawer, three door piece - finely crafted from solid mahogany.
The piece raised on a pleasing, stepped plinth base.
A fine, 'clean line' design, having a spacious, rectangular top, with three concealed drawers, above three doors, each displaying classic arch panel moldings.
Further complimented by handsome, acanthus leaf corbels, making for a most functional, and enduring piece of 'classically' designed English furniture.
Colourwise, artisan painted, in a hand mixed shade of our timeless in-house, 'French Ash Grey' - which is made to our own, unique BB recipe - this mid-charcoal grey is comparable in tone to F&B's 'Dove Tale' - being a tad or so darkener, after 'artisan ageing'.
Another classic, from our select range of 'perfect neutrals' - drawing on a palette inspired by the varied hues of the magnificent dry stone walls that divide the breathtaking Derbyshire landscape, where we live.
All of the above achieved before being 'aged' using our unique in-house, 'specialist artisan techniques' - finished in our classic, BB 'signature finish'.
All of which, lending the painted woodwork with a most divine, 'aged' patination; finished in a manner that remains the very cornerstone of antique French and Gustavian works.
