Rococo Style Demi Lune

It was George Hepplewhite who wrote, in 1788, that 'furniture should unite elegance and utility and blend the useful with the agreeable'.

Finished in light Gustavian grey patina, presented here a hugely ornate, mid-century, Rococo Style Demi Lune Console.
A beautiful, fluid design, exquisitely crafted from mahogany, with a shell and foliate carved apron, to acanthus carved sides.
Supported by three, exquisite scrolled cabriole legs having shell and rocaille carving, this handsome 'statement piece' would make a lovely addition to a hallway or foyer.

Colourwise, the piece finished in light, Gustavian Grey, before being exquisitely 'aged', using our own, unique, Belle Biche, artisan ageing techniques.
