Presented here, a hugely ornate, fluid design, mid-century Louis XV, rococo style reproduction, coffee table.
A well proportioned piece - its classic baroque design featuring exquisite, foliate carvings, making for a hugely elaborate 'statement' piece.
Having a lovely, stepped circular top above a richly carved apron, supported by four, hugely elegant scrolled , cabriole legs, terminating in escargot feet; which each display beautiful shell and rocaille carving work. All of the above, united by an fabulously ornate, central floral carved compote.
Colourwise, the piece finished in light, 'bone' colour of classic, ecru, before being exquisitely 'aged', using our own, unique, Belle Biche, artisan ageing techniques.
Displaying plenty of appealing, 'timeworn' depth' and 'texture' it will appeal to those of you who (if like me), appreciate and embrace the look of authentic 'imperfection' in their 'painted' pieces of furniture!
