Superb Gustavian Grey Original French Large 8-Drawer Chest Commode

Presented here, a super handsome, classically designed, original French 2 over 4 chest commode.
A beautifully crafted contemporary French commode, which comes complete with 'faux' woodworm holes, adding an authentic air of 'antique ageing' to the design!

With handsome 'clean line' design this generously proportioned mahogany chest raised on a lovely, stepped plinth base.

Featuring a classic, 'rectangular moulded' top, above 2 concealed, upper drawers.
Below,, having super spacious storage, by means of 4 large and deep drawers; each retaining their elegant circular brass ring pulls.

Colour wise, artisan painted in our in-house Belle Biche, 'Gustavian Grey'.
This timeless soft grey, close in tone to F&B’s ‘Dimpse’ although with a warmer undertone, which pulls slightly cooler and is a little blue depending on the light, and time of day.

This being another of our classic, 'neutrals' from our select range of Belle Biche colours - which have, in each instance been inspired by the varied hues of the magnificent dry stone walls, which divide the breath-taking Derbyshire landscape, where we live.

All of the above achieved, before applying our unique, Belle Biche specialist 'ageing techniques'- and finished in a manner that remains the 'very cornerstone' of rustic French and Gustavian antique country pieces.
