Marble Top French Louis XV Style 5 Drawer Commode

With a spacious, two tier Balacet, rose marble top, surmounted by large bevelled mirror, this grand, vintage French Louis XV fashioned commode features a two over three combination of drawers.
Each drawer has pretty modelled panels, featuring their original, decorative hardware.

With pretty shaped apron, the chest raised on cabriole legs, which terminate in acanthus carved French scroll toes, which were common feature of antique Louis XV style furniture.
Having solid joints and construction, with both mirror and marble in fine condition too.

*The piece also separates into two, for ease of transportation

Colourwise, artisan painted in a (hand-mixed) shade of pleasing, light Gustavian Grey - this being another of our classic, 'neutral' Belle Biche colours - which have, in each instance been inspired by the varied hues of the magnificent dry stone walls, that divide the breathtaking Derbyshire landscape, where we live.

All of the above achieved before applying our unique, Belle Biche specialist ageing techniques - and finished in a manner that remains the 'very cornerstone' of rustic French Country pieces.
