A truly fabulous, pair of large, Gustavian Style, hand-painted, continental bedside nightstands.
With timeless neoclassical design, this large, three drawer pair offer both fabulous presence and very generous storage, in equal measure!
Raised on bun feet and having three, smooth running drawers, flanked by classic, columns, with handsome scroll corbels, to pleasing paneled sides.
The pair further complimented by a handsome 'broken pediment' neoclassical style, carved gallery, with richly carved floral motifs, which have been subtly enhanced with delicate gold leaf accents.
The pair complete with very subtle,'faux' woodworm indentations, which in Europe, are often applied to 'contemporary' works, to give a piece a more aged appearance!
Artisan hand painted in a light 'Gustavian Grey'- finished with subtle, gold leaf accents.
This classic, light grey mix being another of our Belle Biche, refined neutrals - which have in each instance, been influenced by the varied hues of the magnificent dry stone walls, that divide the breathtaking Derbyshire countryside, where we live.
All of the above achieved before the pair being 'aged' using our own unique 'specialist artisan techniques' - in our classic BB 'signature finish'.
All of which, lending the painted woodwork with a most divine, 'aged' patination - finished in a manner that remains the very cornerstone of antique French and Gustavian works.
