It was George Hepplewhite who wrote, in 1788, that 'furniture should unite elegance and utility and blend the useful with the agreeable'.
And this highly pleasing George III Style demi lune table clearly echos that sentiment!

Standing on four exquisite, turned, tapered, legs with handsome reeding, to arrow feet, this superb demi lune, mahogany side/console, is both hugely pleasing on the eye, whilst also providing for super functionality.

With a lovely, fresh, natural feel to the painted wood, this well proportioned and highly decorative side table, would function well in a variety of rooms and would make for a fine, delicate, accent piece.

Having a central frieze drawer with cock beading and classic floral backplate handles the drawer flanked by handsome shell motifs.

Colour-wise, finished in a unique 'one off' Gustavian 'Bone Grey' that works exceptionally well on the pleasing neoclassical features that the table carries.
This 'Bone Grey' mix being a divine light stone grey - a divine neutral, whitish-grey, synonymous with original, antique Gustavian furniture.

After painting, the piece has then been aged, using 'specialist artisan techniques' - creating an perfectly authentic, 'timeworn' feel.

With plenty of 'rough texture' to its finish, it will appeal to those of you who (if like me) appreciate and embrace the look of authentic 'imperfection' in their painted pieces of furniture!
