With all the hallmarks of a quality crafted mid-century English piece, this fabulous glazed George III Style vitrine striking a perfect balance between the 'formal' and 'informal' - the 'elegant' and the 'rustic'.
Coupling fab. functionality with timeless Georgian Style, this lovely compact mahogany cabinet would be suited to work in 'any' room of the home, where stylish display was required.
Making for an elegant addition for a kitchen, sitting room, or dining room space.
Raised on a fine plinth base to ogee bracket feet, the piece featuring a hugely decorative Chippendale pointed arch Gothic cornice, above two upper glazed doors, each featuring decorative lengths of beading, to encase the individual panes of glass, which also extends to its sides. It twin glazed doors, open to reveal for three, adjustable shelves - making an ideal space for crystal glasses, or books - the choice is yours!
Below, additional storage, by means of three drawers, each fitted with hugely decorative brass pulls.
The piece complete with 2 working keys, and all original brass hardware.
Finished in our timeless, 'Parisian Noir', before being artisan aged in our unique, BB signature finish.
All of the above, before finally being aged, using our own, unique 'specialist artisan ageing techniques' - all of which go to provide the painted woodwork with a most divine, 'textured' finish.
With plenty of 'depth of texture' to its finish, this fine piece will appeal to those of you who, (if like me), appreciate and embrace the look of authentic 'imperfection' in their 'painted' pieces of furniture!
