Bijou ‘Gustavian Grey’ Pedestal Cabinet

Although not super old, this beautiful, 'Chippendale Style, solid wood cabinet carries a lovely rustic presence.
The piece given depth by classic, Chippendate Style shell carved accents and pretty, swan neck handles.

Raised on ogee bracket feet and having a rectangular moulded top, above a full with concealed drawer.
With a small, central cabinet and flanked by 6, bijou drawers.
At some point in its history, a very small square section of wood has been cut out from the back, for, we we imagine, an electric cable.

Of versatile design it would server a multitude of uses, as a super bathroom storage; pretty hall cupboard, for a cottage home.
Or equally, as a very sweet and charming desk for a child's bedroom, playroom.

Its classic features lent a timeless and hugely appealing Gustavian vibe - achieved by having been painted in a slightly lighter tone of our timeless, bleached tone 'Gustavian Grey', before being artisan aged.

This light and refreshing 'Gustavian Grey' mix has been made to our own, unique recipe and is comparable in tone to F&B's 'Pavilion Grey'. Being another offering from our 'perfect neutrals' - which have, in each instance, been inspired by the varied hues of the magnificent dry stone walls that divide the breathtaking Derbyshire landscape, where we live.

All of the above before the piece being 'aged' using 'specialist artisan techniques' that now lend the woodwork with a most divine, weathered patination.
