‘Louis XV Style’ Pair of Chest Commodes

Offering for timeless French 'Louis XV' style, displayed here a beautiful pair of hardwood, reproduction French Commodes.
Although with no great age to them, this handsomely designed, solid wood pair present for many fine, classic French Louis features.

Raised on escargot feet, with scroll accents, to a pretty carved apron; featuring an intricate central floral carving.
Each chest featuring a spacious, serpentine top, above four, respectably-sized drawers.

Displaying wonderfully decorative carving to the drawer fronts, with pleasing, swan neck drawer pulls, to classic French moulded panel sides.
Further complimented by a shaped apron with pleasing central floral carved detail.

Externally, artisan hand painted in our timeless 'Derbyshire Stone' - being a classic tone of natural delicate 'ecru' - synonymous with both French and Gustavian pieces from times long gone by.
For further guidance on the colour - this particular mix of our Derbyshire Stone being pretty close in tone to F&B's 'Old White' - however, this guidance based on a 'hard copy' of an F&B colour chart, and 'not' on online images, which do tend to vary greatly from device to device!

After painting, the pair have then been exquisitely aged, using our own, unique, BB 'specialist artisan techniques' - lending the piece with wonderfully authentic, 'timeworn' feel.
With plenty of depth and texture to its finish, it will appeal to those of you who, (if like me appreciate and embrace the look of authentic 'imperfection' in their painted pieces of furniture!
