Presented here, a wonderful example of a superb, original Napoleon III French Armoire.
Dating from the mid-1800's this beautiful French wardrobe, crafted from fine French walnut.
An exquisite French bedroom piece having a removable domed cornice top, above two central panelled doors, each displaying a rare configuration of two sets of extremely handsome, large, applied brass escutcheons - each with original working key.
The interior configured with a fixed 'conventional' hanging rail, and is also fitted with several, hanging pegs.
This magnificent antique French piece raised on shaped cabriole feet, with beautiful 'carved' apron, below three drawers.
Being over 150 years old, the wardrobe is offered in a good, solid antique condition.
Natural signs of wear are of course present, however, this magnificent example of fine, French craftsmanship remains both structurally solid and sound.
A magnificent bedroom 'statement piece' - providing for divine bedroom storage - offering for both timeless 'original French style' and too, masses of spacious storage.
There is past evidence of historical worm holes, to an isolated section of the original backboards, which has, as a matter of course, been fully treated, both prior to it leaving France, and once again, on its arrival here to our barns.
