It was George Hepplewhite who wrote, in 1788, that 'furniture should unite elegance and utility and blend the useful with the agreeable' and this two tier Gustavian Style table design clearly echo that sentiment!
Finished in pleasing, light Gustavian grey patina, presented here a beautiful example of a fine, reproduction, George III Style Two Tier Console.
With lovely, gracious form, having an oval top above a deep, stepped apron with paterae motifs.
Crafted from solid wood, with timeless neoclassical design, the table raised on four, turned, tapered legs, united by a handy parcel base.
Colour-wise, artisan 'French Painted' in a delicate, smokey shade of light, Gustavian grey -made to our own, unique BB recipe,
For further guidance, this 'particular' mix is close in tone to F&B's 'Cornforth White' - so a lovely, natural warm, grey.
All of the above achieved, before being exquisitely 'aged', using our own, unique, Belle Biche, artisan ageing techniques.
Displaying plenty of appealing, 'weathered depth' and 'texture' it will appeal to those of you who (if like me), appreciate and embrace the look of authentic 'imperfection' in their 'painted' pieces of furniture!
